Lake Sebu

Lake Sebu

An ancestral domain filled with majestic lakes, waterfalls, and Tboli culture.

Welcome to Lake Sebu

Lake Sebu is a tranquil highland lake town in South Cotabato, Mindanao. Surrounded by rolling green hills, heavy mountain mists, and bamboo forests, it serves as a peaceful ancestral sanctuary of indigenous culture and spectacular natural waterfalls.

T’nalak: Dreamwoven Heritage

The town is home to the T’boli people, famous for their Dreamweavers. These highly skilled women translate sacred geometric patterns seen in dreams into beautiful, hand-woven abaca fiber textiles called T’nalak, using natural dyes sourced from forest roots and tree barks.

The Sacred Helobung Festival

The T’boli people celebrate their rich heritage during the annual Helobung Festival in November. This highly immersive cultural festival features traditional horse fights, epic chanting performances detailing T’boli folklore, and beautiful musical performances on the Hegelung (traditional two-stringed lute). Travelers can witness stunning displays of original T’nalak tapestries and purchase beautiful brass crafts crafted by local masters.

Seven Waterfalls Zipline Adventures

Travelers can enjoy peaceful morning canoe rides across the calm, lotus-dusted lake, sample fresh tilapia dishes prepared in over fifty local styles, and ride a high-speed zipline that flies high above a series of seven spectacular mountain waterfalls crashing through the jungle canyons.
